Centre for Ukrainian Studies – is a creative collective of the The Faculty of Philology and The Faculty of Foreign Languages of L’viv University staff members, whose aim is to spread knowledge about Ukraine all over the world, popularize the Ukrainian language and culture.

The Summer School of Ukrainian Language and Country Studies is one of the regular educational programs of the University.

August, 1997 -2007 - Austrian-Ukrainian summer college (organized by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science, and Culture with the support of Ivan Franko National University of L'viv)

August 1 - 28, 2001 - Summer school for students from Brazil (organized by Mykola   Lehkyi, Danuta Mazuryk, and the philological department of Ivan Franko National University of L’viv) with the support of the L’viv Oblast Administration

July 15 -  August 15, 2002 - “Ukrainian Through its Living Culture” summer school for English-speaking students (organized by Professor Alla Nedashkivska, University of Alberta (Canada), and Lesya Antoniv, Philological Department of Ivan Franko NUL)

July 16 – August 16, 2003 - Summer school for English-speaking students (organized by Professor Oleh Il’nytskyi, University of Alberta, and Lesya Antoniv, Philological Department of Ivan Franko NUL)

August 1-24, 2004 - Summer university “Ukrainian Language and Area Studies” for German-speaking students (at the initiative of Volodymyr Sulym, Dean of the Department of Foreign Languages, Ivan Franko NUL, and Solveg Heinrich, lecturer of the German Service of Academic Exchange (DAAD))
