UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE LESSONS are conducted in different groups depending upon the level of students’ Ukrainian knowledge.

At the beginner level students master the basics of Ukrainian and the competency to communicate.

At the intermediate level students enrich their vocabulary and improve their practical grammar skills.

At the advanced level students improve various aspects of their language skills in an effort to master Ukrainian.  

Ukrainian language lessons will take place Monday through Saturday (no Sundays) July 22 - August 11, 2009, from 9.00-13.00. There will be a coffee break from 10.45-11.15 .

The whole language course of the summer school comprises 56 lessons, each lasting 45 minutes.    

CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL EVENTS

Cultural and educational events: Lectures, reports, excursions, and other meetings are offered in order to acquaint Summer School participants with the history, culture, art, religion, economics, and political life of Ukraine. Cultural and educational events will be held every weekday  from 15.00 to 18.00. The whole cultural and educational program constitutes 35 hours.  

COUNTRY STUDIES TOURS

Various country studies tours are offered in order to acquaint Summer School participants with some historic and architectural monuments as well as the natural beauty, culture, daily life and households of Ukraine and its people.  

SUMMER SCHOOL TIMETABLE:

9.00 – 10.45: Ukrainian language lessons 10.45 – 11.15: Coffee break 11.15 – 13.00: Ukrainian language lessons 13.00 – 14.30: Lunch break 15.00 – 18.00: Cultural and educational event
